Ardnamurchan Point
& Lighthouse
|
Here we often see basking sharks as
well as minke whales and occasionally orca and where the grey
and common seals do the "people spotting" from beautiful shell
sand beaches and rocky islets.
Then we head northwards where skipper
Andy

uses "Laurencas' G.P.S. navigation
& sophisticated sonar systems plus his years of personal experience
and expert knowledge to find the plankton, shoals of small fish,
huge variety of seabirds and correct seabed topography which are
all indicators of cetacean feeding grounds. We are also in contact
via VHF radio with other vessels in the area who help in the "watch".
Soon we approach the Island of Muck

where we land allowing about an hour
or two for you to look round this lovely hebridean island & visit
the local craft shop & tea room.
Then back aboard & heading home watching
whales as we go....
