The bay is crystal clear and is an excellent area for diving, fishing and canoeing. Limited parking is available at the jetty (see prices below) but other parking facilities are available in the village. A collection service from the parking can be arranged if needed.
At the head of the bay is the Salen Hotel, just a short walk away, which provides excellent meals and a warm welcome. Booking is recommended in high season on 01967 431661. www.salenhotel.co.uk for more information.
If you wish to visit for an hour or so, just to chill, go to the hotel for a drink or even have a wander around, then access to the jetty is free. The Sunart Oak Woods are on the East side of the bay and make an excellent walk. Please note that the jetty is tidal and you will be responsible for your own boat.
